Our teachers are our pride
Our teachers make it possible to offer a once in a lifetime opportunity for young adults across the world to study in Finland.
When you teach with GoSuomiPro, you're not just delivering lessons - you're opening a door for a young adult on the other side of the world who has chosen Finland as their future. That matters.
We built this platform because we saw a pattern: talented international students arriving, studying hard, and then leaving. Not because they wanted to - but because no one had helped them build the roots that make staying possible. The local connections. The network. The sense of belonging.
In Finland, who you know shapes what you can do. Your role as a teacher reaches further than the classroom. You're part of a student's first real bridge into Finnish life - and that's exactly the kind of impact we wanted to support when we started this.
We are recruiting new talents to our teacher positions, read more below and apply.

Part-Time Finnish Teacher
GoSuomiPro · Remote · Part-Time · Starting ASAP~18 hours a week · Afternoons & evenings · 2 cohorts of 50 students · Goal: YKI Level 3 in 12 months · Pay 3000€/month
We'll be honest with you. This is not a typical job posting, and we are not a typical employer.
We're a small, international team that set out to solve something that's been bothering us for a while: thousands of young adults from across the world come to Finland to study, pay tens of thousands in tuition, graduate — and then leave. Not because they wanted to. But because no one helped them put down roots.
We think the missing piece is Finnish. Not tourist Finnish. Real, functional, confident Finnish -learned before they ever land at Helsinki-Vantaa.
That's what you'd be teaching.
What the role actually looks like
You keep your current job. Classes run in the afternoons and evenings, designed around Finnish working hours so this fits alongside whatever you're already doing.
You'd be teaching two groups of 50 students each - motivated young adults from Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and the Middle East who have chosen to invest a year of their lives in learning Finnish before they arrive. They are not passive students. They show up. You will be there to show them the way and they will do the work.
2-3 classes a week per cohort, two to three hours each. You plan the week, we handle the admin and marking support.
The pay is serious. We believe that good teaching deserves good compensation, and we've priced this role to reflect that.
There's also an equity pool. For the right person, strong performance and genuine contribution can earn you a stake in the company. We mean that.
What we need from you
These are the non-negotiables:
You are a qualified, currently practising Finnish teacher at high school or university level. If you are not, please don't apply - this isn't the role for language enthusiasts, however passionate.
You are fluent in English and Finnish. Our students communicate in English and so do we.
You are comfortable teaching teenagers and young adults - you know how to hold a room, keep energy up, and make grammar feel human.
You are a self-starter. We're a startup. There is support here, but not hand-holding.
You have a genuine interest in teaching Finnish to non-Finns - not as a job, but as something you actually believe matters.
You are flexible. We do things a little differently, and we need someone who can work with that.
It would also mean a lot if you:
Have a clear point of view on how to teach Finnish effectively and at speed
Are comfortable with the fact that half the learning burden belongs to the students — your job is to equip them, not carry them
Are excited about building something from scratch, including helping design a curriculum that doesn't fully exist yet
How to apply
Send your CV and a short note to a link below. Tell us why this, why you, why now. We read everything, and we respond quickly.
Applications without a personal note won't be reviewed. Not because we're strict - but because we genuinely want to hear from you, not a template.
You will hear from us very soon for an interview and you will receive a paid task in the second round - we will only choose the top 3 for this.
Apply by June 28th. Work starts in August.
